Today's Update
Hey Everyone. Just a minor addition to my blog for the weekend. First item's first:
The famous singer and "Talking Head" in the Simpsons video clip is none other than David Byrne. The clip is from the Season Fourteen episode "Dude, Where's My Ranch?" To read about the episode click here:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dude%2C_Where%27s_My_Ranch%3F
Also, as already reported, Green Day will be appearing in the Simpsons Movie. They have many songs; but, in my opinion, I feel their song "Minority" would be perfect for a montage of rallying Springfield residents preparing to take on the film's villian.
To see Green Day's video for "Minority," click here:

Finally, you can see Green Day as they would appear in the movie by clicking here:

I'll have more updates later in the week. Bye for now.

A Special Simpsons Clip
In order to get you all excited for the movie, I will be linking Simpsons video clips from time-to-time. Here is the video link for the day from the classic Season 7 episode “Bart Sells His Soul.” I actually heard the song today and I laughed for a good ten minutes. Enjoy, my fellow Simpsons maniacs.

The Simpsons Movie and MTV
Sorry I haven’t updated my blog in three days. I was away from my computer for a few days. But now, I am returning with this piece of news….
The Simpsons Movie Loses at the MTV Movie Awards!!!!
On Sunday’s telecast of the annual event, The Simpsons Movie lost to the upcoming Transformers movie in the programs newest category “Best Summer Movie You Haven’t Seen Yet.” While I am not angry at the Transformers movie, I believe that any criticism should be aimed directly at MTV. The people at MTV should be aware that The Simpsons Movie has no chance of beating the upcoming movie adaptation of the famous shape-shifting robots series on account of the intense and, dare I say, amazing graphics of this upcoming hit as well as any of the other action-packed nominees; so there was no point in nominating The Simpsons Movie in the first place. MTV should have created two categories for its awards show. They could have been “Best Summer Action Movie You Haven’t Seen Yet” and “Best Summer Comedy Movie You Have Not Seen Yet;” and the nominees and winners could have been the following:
“Best Summer Action Movie You Have Not Seen Yet”:
“Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer”
“Live Free or Die Hard”
“Transformers”
“The Bourne Ultimatum”
“Harry Potter 5”
And then, for the “Best Summer Comedy Movie You Have Not Seen Yet”, the category could have worked out like this:
“Evan Almighty”
“I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry”
“Rush Hour 3”
“The Simpsons Movie”
“License to Wed”
This way, both Transformers and The Simpsons Movie would have achieved greatness at the MTV Movie Awards. Nevertheless, the awards show did have a great night with Will Ferrell and Sacha Baron Cohen’s “Best Kiss” award for Talladega Nights as well as Mike Myers winning the MTV Generations Award.
To see the winners of the 2007 MTV Movie Awards, you can read its article at Wikipedia:

Welcome to My Blog
Welcome to my personal blog devoted to the upcoming movie extravaganza known as The Simpsons Movie. Can you all believe that it is coming to theaters in only 8 weeks?
This is the event I and all fans have been waiting for since the show became immensely popular. Of course, there has been many news about the movie already; but, in my opinion, a recap is always appreciated:
1. The plot of the movie is still quite under wraps; but judging from all the released trailers, the story is about an environmental crisis that occurs in Springfield as a result of one of Homer’s mistakes. The film should be including many of our favorite characters
and hopefully, each will be given a chance to shine on silver screens across on the country on July 27th as well as all over the world! In short, this movie will be big!!!
2. According to an interview with series creators Matt Groening and James L. Brooks that was printed in an issue of Entertainment Weekly this past April, there will be two new characters; one human and one nonhuman.

3. It has also been officially announced that Green Day will be appearing in the movie as well as recording their own version of the Simpsons’ popular theme song. Now, while I do enjoy Green Day’s music, I am a little concerned about the idea that it is being released as a single. Suppose they add lyrics? Nevertheless, it is pretty cool that the band will be in the movie and I’m sure they will rock the house—or, should I say, the theaters!
